Thank you so much to those of you who have donated, from everyone at Home Alive! We have been getting the reports of everyone’s donations, and it is so exciting!

Each contribution makes it possible for Home Alive to come a little closer to achieving our mission of creating a world where everyone can live free from violence and hate by offering affordable self-defense classes, providing public education and awareness, and leading local community organizing efforts.

Just this past week, we gave 4 different classes:

A personal training with a deaf-blind woman and her support network.

A Basic Self-Defense Workshop for a group of Teens from a Kent Family Center. The counselors from the Center put together a Self-Care series for the girls, and Home Alive's workshop was just one day in their training!

A Boundary Setting Workshop for teens from the YWCA. This group has had a rocky road recently and sought out a space to work out some group dynamics, as well as build personal skills.

We concluded a Two-Week class that we sponsor ourselves--the women in this class got really into the ground-fighting piece, and we are considering teaching a ground-fighting workshop for the future!

Each donation supports our amazing facilitators, who work in their free hours to teach for Home Alive. Your donations also make it possible to teach more classes for those who cannot afford to donate right now!
